Swara Darshee : 2016

Indian Classical music has got a significant tradition. Though it goes beyond the Vedic period it has been changing from time to time. The country went through too many ups and downs, because of invasions and colonisations, as a result of which the old traditional music wiped off. But Indian Classical did not die, the changes occurred were feared to be an end of the musical culture. This year we have twelve such artists who have spent their lives enriching the traditions, they have made efforts to go deep down to the principles of different Gharanas and mastered the art and made their own contributions.

As a Guru they have been interacting with the modern, present day generation very closely, they are trying their best to pass this immortal art to the brilliant virtuous and zestly disciples. Talyogi Pandit Suresh Talwalkar’s co-opeartion to introduce these genus is commendable for ‘Swardarshi’ welcome to Swardarshi 2016 !
